Is it possible for the ADD, ADHD medication to cause childhood memorys to be forgotten by a 13/14 year old?

i’m a 13/14 year old girl on ADD and i’ve been on it since the third grade. i recently became friends with a old childhood friend and i don’t remember anything about her or having any memory of spending time with her. Its also been happening with recent events too. Someone please tell me whats up.

It is indeed possible, the drug has been balancing chemicals in your brain to help your mental health.

Unfortunately it is possible information could be lost throughout the way. Ask your doctor or consult the drug’s box.

Could it also be you simply forgot? Or maybe your suppresing the memory because something bad happened? Think on these things.

I have been taking medicine for add since I was in middle school, around your age. I have had the exact same problem with not being able to remember my childhood, I remembering certain events but nothing clear.

I would talk to your doc and see if this is a one in a million side effect!
