i agree that they …
i agree that they should not drug the elementary school kids I can’t see the benefit to the child in that situaion. Now high school is a different story. Unmedicated high schoolers can suffer severely.

Hey I’ve been on …
Hey I’ve been on many prescription drugs for ADHD & other learning disabilties that have hurdled me many problems in school. I would suggest that the best way to control this in the end is to control it by helping those in need to adjust to the difference. in the mind. We as a society need to make this disability as an ability to work competently & effectively.

i was meds for my ADHD b/w 1st and 5th grade. they didnt really help me much. in fact the side-effects were worse than the little it did to help me focus. i would get shakey, not eat, get headaches, and have extreme mood swings. i was on ritalin, then adderal, then concerta. finally i didnt want to b medicated so i stopped… ive gotten some control over myself now.

I’ve heard a lot of …
I’ve heard a lot of people having poor results from Ritalin but I take (generic) Aderall and my life has improved 1000%. Sometimes, my heart won’t even slow down and I can’t do anything but pace or refuse to get things done…. About 5 minutes after I take it, I feel like a human again and everything’s fine.
So to those with bad experiences with other things, maybe ask if your doc about it. Take a very small amount first as it was WAY too strong the first time I took it.

I was told to go on …
I was told to go on Ritalin, my parents took me off after a few days because I could not sleep. My brother really did have ADHD, he was on Ritalin for it, and it didn’t do shit. The only thing that helped him was running a lap before making sit down and do schoolwork, but it wasn’t allowed.

i was on ritalin …
i was on ritalin for a short period of time in 5th grade. my mother decided to take me off of it because she said it made me all zombied out.
but anyways i completely disagree with giving children addictive drugs to behave. it me off. children having drug withdrawals that were given to them by the people who are supposed to help.
you can’t trust “medicine”. you can’t trust the food. you can’t trust politicians. we don’t have elections we have auctions.

Time moved way WAY …
Time moved way WAY too slowly. Boredom wasn’t simply boredom, it felt more like being trapped in a prison, some kind of hell. I know, it sounds overdramatic.
At 25 I was told it was all because of ADHD and to take Dexamphetamines. At first, they were great, I felt “normal” but after a few years of taking them I am worse without than I was to begin with. I say that the doctors are doing what they think is right, and at first it looks to be a GREAT improvement. There just has to be a better way.

Ive been taking add …
Ive been taking add medications on and off for 3 years. When I’m on them I’m super motivated, yet angry and agressive. When I stop taking them I feel worse than I was before being prescribed. Very addicting. Shrinks dick!

Have worked with …
Have worked with kids who are diognasticed with ADD and ADHD. Firstly, I’m danish, and here, maybe, the rules are strickter for prescribing any drugs to kids. I know for a fact, because i have seen scertain kids, on and off the Ritalin, that some of them suffers GREATLY when not medicated. Socially and intellectually, they are adrift, scared and angry because they are aware of the predicament. Maybe the rules a different in the states, maybe US kids get drugs way to easily.

Also, I am curing …
Also, I am curing my ADHD naturally by taking herbs and vitamins that my body was lacking. The herbs and vitamins actually work and helps me to focus. I have also been meditating a lot to help calm my nerves. I am proud to say that my ADHD is almost fully cured!!!

I have ADHD and …
I have ADHD and have been told by my doctor to take 30mg of Adderall XR every day. I haven’t taken Adderall in over a year and I am feeling better than I did when I was taking it. When I was on Adderall, I felt like an emotionless robot. I was also always angry at everyone for no reason. I also became addicted to it and had major moodswings when i went a day without it. Adderall actually made my ADHD worse. What I hated the most was that this drug was forced on me by my mother and everyone else.

People see that …
#3
People see that there are 10% ADD kids. So why change the whole system?
You should be infuriated because of the arrogance of “normal” people – which some of us more aggressively call “simple”.
But then 90% simply do not have ADD. Nevertheless, the school system I would like would home on developing fully able persons – not functions.
But thats Utopia I guess. At least in Germany. They tend to put all the pupils together – without changing the education of teachers…
Still on our own!
