If you have an official diagnosis of ADHD and you’re in jail or prison and the people in there know about it and you’re bouncing off the walls hyper what do they do? If its nowhere close to yard time will they let you run to get rid of some of the energy? Or what do they do?
I wasn’t talking about them using it as an excuse at all. I was just asking what would happen if they got hyper.
lol no im not going to jail. i was just curious cuz i was watching a show on tv about jail so i wondered.
If it came to the point where you may hurt yourself, they would put you in a "rubber room". It is a room with soft walls, and no bed or other objects.
What happens if you have ADHD and you get hyper in jail?

well, your in jail. you will bounce off the walls. You are not going to get special privleges because you have ADHD. if that were the case all the prisoners would be claiming it to get more of this or that. Bottom line if your locked up…your skrewed.

The danger about ADHD is its a misused diagones…With a daughter who has been diagnose with the sympthoms, I have yet to see her bounch off walls, and criminality,is not part of her..
Its a new diagnoses,I will resent criminals and their lawyers to use ADHD as an excuse for their actions!
EDITIONAL: Not all ADHD patients display hyper activity, this is the problem, the assumption because of the title..Once again it is new, very new,I’m sure in the future,we’ll find out a mess of a diagnoses!

I personally think ADHD is just a made up illness by a bunch of people trying to market stuff

You would get strapped in a immobalising chair that restricts all movement if you became a danger.

You are still given your prescription drugs in prison, so this situation is highly unlikely.

depending on the extent to which you are hyper, they may medicate you (the prison doc would, that is). they may see you as dangerous to others, so theres a chance you could just be put in isolation, if they dont contribute it to your condition. are you going to jail? sure hope not!
