So what’s it really like to have ADHD? What is ADHD? And does it really exist?
A lot of people ume I’m anti-drug therapy. This is not true. What I’m against is hasty prescriptions without trying other alternatives. I believe drug therapy should come later in the list of options.
But everyone is different and the simple fact of the matter is, prescription drugs do work for many people. Just make sure you’re making an informed decision when you turn to meds.

Hi thanx. I also don’t know what to think of my diagnoses ADD. If I take Ritalin I turn into an ADHD. I am to slow or too fast. Maybe I should find an environment that fits me. Instead of trying to fit into an environment of large offices where everyone sits quiet for 8 hours. I cannot get a job because they think I’m weird. It is a problem for me because I feel like I should bend over backwards to fit in a group of people and translate my thoughts for them. People are very judgemental.

I agree with you that ADD/ADHD is not a disorder. However, I don’t believe it is simply a product of the times. There is a tonne of evidence suggesting it is caused by neurotransmitter imbalances.
ADD brain chemistry has as many positives as negatives, and people with ADD only suffer if their world does not match their traits. If 95% of the population had ADD, the other 5% would have just as much trouble coping in a world not suited to them.
