i am married and have two children. i am a chef, meaning i work in an industry that rarely supplies health care. with the slump in the economy i am left with just enough money to make my mortgage and put food on the table. though i have little money, i make just enough for the state to decline me for medicaid. i was diagnosed with ADD at age 15 and began a schedule of 30 mg. a day. as soon as this started i noticed an improvement in my grades and ambition to apply myself in a more productive way. this lasted for 4 years. then i was without means to continue to see my dr.
i have read up on buying adderall without a prescription only to find that it seems to be a hoax. when i inquire further to people about this topic the only results i find are complete strangers labeling me a drug addict. that, i am not. i am a hard working husband and father of two who deals with a medical condition day in and day out. i am simply looking for some type of aid for the treatment of my condition. the stress i experience comes solely from my lack of focus. i have many pressures and things that need my attention….attention that i can not apply.
You can try Dexedrine alone but it just doesn’t have enough "kick" as Adderall. What I suggest is trying Vyvance. It is made by the same people that make Adderall. There is a patient assistance program if you are under a certain poverty cut off you can get it free, here it is: https://www.rxhope.com/PAP/info/PAPList.aspx?drugid=4691&fieldType=drugid
Your Doctor should also know this. Once you fill the half page form out & your Doctor fills the rest out & faxes it in, it only takes a few weeks & it’s good for a year or more.

If you cannot afford meds, then try some natural remedies that actually help (not an old wive’s tale). Big pharma doesn’t need your hard-earned dollars and studies show that the drugs out there for ADHD and ADD can have terrible side effects. I’ve found a couple links for eBook that give effective drug-free solutions for ADHD.
The first is by Dr. Charles Gant. I really liked his info because it is pretty scientific, but he still gives basic instructions as to what you need to do. He also gives more info than you ever wanted on dangers of the various drugs. Just his link is informative. The eBook is $20 with a money back guarantee. http://endadd.reclaimingoptimumhealth.com
If you don’t like all the science mumbo jumbo or the medication-bashing in Gant’s info, then there is another Dr. who has treated many patients without drugs with drastic improvement. This one is more expensive but looks very easy to understand. http://adhd-remedy.bestlife123.com
The last one is by a mother who finally figured it out herself. It’s called ADD to C3 Kids (I have no idea what C3 is) and gives daily meal planning and nutritional info. http://www.addtoc3kids.naturesmachine.com. It may be more practical if you don’t want to know the why, just what to do.
Basically, all the chemicals in our food are changing our chemical balance and causing these problems. It’s not your fault – it’s your food and lifestyle. Don’t eat anything with stuff that is difficult to pronounce. Don’t eat/drink corn syrup. Make sure you take supplements because even fruits and vegetables are grown in nutrient poor soil and are genetically modified to be large and tasty, not nutritious. ALL fast food has MSG (monosodium glutamate) which is an excitotoxin, as well as artificial sweeteners – avoid them. That might be hard for a chef to do, but do it.
And good luck – you can fix this problem!

The stimulants such as adderall work very well for most people, but are amazingly expensive even with insurance and often prohibitive when someone does not have it. Most of the supplement alternatives either do not work or only support general brain function.
ADD-care is the only natural alternative that has been shown by SPECT brain imaging and the Conner’s ADD impulsivity test to work as well as adderall in head to head tests. It is much less expensive as well. You can check out the results on http://www.add-care.com.
Good luck. Jef

You and I have similar problems. All of the non-prescription sites are bogus for the most part and I wouldn’t trust them. If you were previously on ADD meds then you may not have to get another approval letter from a psychiatrist/psychologist, but I believe by Federal law you have to get a prescription for every 30 days of pills. Without insurance the cheapest you’re going to be able to find brand name XR drugs like concerta or adderall is going to be around 200 dollars a month. However, you can get methylin, which is the generic version, for around 30$ a month (these prices are with the medical card I included a link to at the bottom). As well, you will have to get the prescription from a doctor monthly, so you need to do research on free clinics and family clinics. I found one locally for $25 a visit (they have to take your vitals etc every time). Also, if you get the chance you may want to consider taking an anti-depressant, some kind of SSRI, many people with ADD have some kind of depression and the SSRI helped me just as much as the methylin did
Best of luck
