Are you an adult with suspected ADD or ADHD &/or other neurological related conditions (Aspergers, OCD, etc)?

I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD having been misdiagnosed with Borderline years ago.

I’m very interested in getting together with other adults who suspect they may have this condition, as it’s only recently recognised that adults have this condition (mostly undiagnosed from childhood).

The NHS are reluctant to treat this condition which can have disasterous effects on the person not receiving treatment, & also their family. I’m a mother & my children also have ADHD & related conditions (previously undiagnosed for years) which led to two serious family breakdowns that could’ve been avoided if awareness was raised & I’d been taken seriously by NHS services.

If anyone would like more information please leave your details, & I’ll contact you with details of support sites.

If you’re female with difficulties & think these could be signs of ADHD I have a link to an excellent self rating scale for women: http://tinyurl.com/yq29so

My son is 18 and I resisted getting him labelled when he was young, probably the most serious mistake I made with his upbringing! He could have achieved more at school and now he is fighting to be diagnosed.
I do not leave personal details here but I can be contacted through my profile page.
I will get my son to check out the site…thanks.

EDIT: I checked the link and stopped counting the yeses at 30, sounds like he definitely has it!

I suffer a little from OCD. And a lot from BDD. The later leaves me in a very depressive state, often with suicidal feelings. I need help but I feel embarrassed to go to a doctor because I feel as these conditions are mind based they aren’t genuine.

Its worth investigating these problems through an alternative
hospital as given below-they may give a better diagnosis and treatment options. If you are interested your GP may refer you, otherwise you may do so yourself.

You may be indigo, often dx as ADD- may seem strange and difficult to understand, but once you understand who you are, you will be more accepting of yourself which then will help you be more accepting to the rest of the world (not entirely but more accepting).
